One million natural bricks make up this 162-ft. lighthouse at Corolla. Activated in 1875, this is the northernmost lighthouse along North Carolina’s 301-mile coastline. “A visit to this beautiful area and the painting of the only red-head in our family of lighthouses, renewed my awe of the Outer Banks,” remarked Mangum.
